Healing with lavender

Place a drop of lavender essential oil on each temple and massage it into your skin to relieve a headache.

 

Lavender Bath

Add 5-10 drops of essential lavender oil to a warm bath for a relaxing and enjoyable bath that is also mildly antiseptic.  Soak for at least 12 hour. This helps to heal minor cuts and scratches, insect bites and to sooth minor bruising.

 

Lavender Steam

To help clear skin blemishes or to clear a head cold, add 5-8 drops of essential lavender oil to a large bowl of very hot to boiling water. Lean over the bowl with a large clean towel over your head and bowl to form a tent-like covering. For a head cold, breath gently and as deeply as you can for 5-10 min to clear your nasal passages and sinuses.

For skin blemishes, let the steam work on your skin and open your pores for 10-15 min. Use a soft cloth to blot the moisture from your skin.
